RANGE OFFICER NEEDED. The range officer's duties are to coordinate the shoots (candle shoot, quail walk, mountain man run, etc.) also people to volunteer to help the range officer, including any club who would like to be responsible for a particular shoot or day of shooting.

ALSO, we need people to hold seminars, demonstrations and workshops.

We will have a full shooting program, knife and hawk competition, primitive archery, kids games, rendezvous rummage sale, alligator wrestling, seminars and more.

Designated work party only before July 7th. No Exceptions!

Elevation: 7300 feet

Participants must be in pre-1840 rendezvous attire upon arrival in camp.

There is a limited area for tin teepees.

Cannons allowed in designated area only.

Dogs on leashes at all times.

Each camp must have a full (period) water container and shovel by their fire at all times.

There will be ice, potable water and chemical toilets. Lots of wood!

No chainsaws at any time.

DUE TO DROUGHT CONDITIONS IN THE WEST, BE PREPARED TO BRING PROPANE FOR COOKING.

By attending this event, you are agreeing to keep the appearance of yourself, your camp, your trade goods and family, within the spirit of the pre-1840 Rendezvous!

There will also be separate drawings for a shooting bag, powder horn, axe, knife, and other accoutrements.

A picture of all of the items will be put on the website as soon as they are available.

DIRECTIONS

FROM CORTEZ:  Take Highway 145 towards Dolores turn right on highway 184 go 8.5 miles to the Hay Camp Mesa turnoff (watch for signs) turn left onto Hay Camp Mesa Road.  Go 3.5 miles to the site.

FROM DOLORES:  Go through Dolores and at the top of the hill turn left onto Highway 184 go 8.5 miles to the Hay Camp Mesa Turnoff (watch for signs) turn left onto Hay Camp Mesa Road.  Go 3.5 miles to the site.

FROM MANCOS:  Go 10.5 miles on Highway 184 to the Hay Camp Mesa Road.  Turn right and go 3.5 miles to the site.

FROM DURANGO:  Go on Highway 160 to Mancos then follow directions from Mancos.

You might want to have an Atlas available to get to these towns.  We are in the four corners area of the Colorado map.
