From Creede Turn left off 149 at Middle Creek Rd and Marshall Park Campground (from Lake City, turn right) (approx. 6 miles from Creede)
At approx. 4 mi. on the Middle Creek Road, there is a fork in the road, take right fork, go 1.5 mi to rendezvous site. Follow signs.
The RMNR is located on the Soward Ranch (private land)
Enjoy the scenery as you drive through this beautiful country. At Creede a one-time mining town turned resort, you will find all kinds of things to do....Travel to Lake City to see where Alfred Packer allegedly ate his companions (all Democrats!) or travel to South Fork and poke around their miriad shops. For a day trip, you can go over the Lake City Road (dirt and gravel) to Blue Mesa Lake, the vistas there are phenomenal, fishing is great and swimming is even better. You are approximately 3 hours from Durango over Wolf Creek Pass...You can enjoy a day on the Durango/Silverton railroad. Stay in Durango or go over to Pagosa Springs to enjoy the hot springs, more resort towns with much to do.
