2008 Rocky Mountain National Rendezvous

Henry's Fork in McKinnon, Wyoming

Elevation: 7100 feet

The site has been changed to Henry's Fork, Wyoming, near the original 1825 site.  This site is 15 miles west of Manila, Utah and 35 miles north and west of Elk Park.

We are anticipating having above-ground campfires, but please, as always, be prepared for alternative cooking using propane or something else.  Henry's Fork River runs through the Anderson property.  Lots of trees and shade along the river and elsewhere."

Primitive, horse, and tin tipi camps. Traders row. Shoots, hawk and knife, archery and kid games.
Sorry no cannons this year.

This is a primitive rendezvous, all camps, clothing and accoutrements must be of pre-1840 rendezvous style.

This is the type of rifle an officer coming over during the French and Indian war could have brought to the Colonies. Also this rifle could have gone into Canada with the Hudson Bay Factors.
